Tomorrow the 16th of August, get set for a night of rip-roaring metal as the Road To Iron Mountain Metal Fest begins, with the first of two feeder shows at Cellar Bar And Restaurant, Eglinton street, Galway with all tastes of metal accounted for!
Headlining are "Dublin's most experimental and genre-blending quartet Svet Kant" who recently inked a deal with the renowned WormHoleDeath for the release of their album "The Visage Unbiased".
Formed in early 2011, Svet Kant became Santiago Kodela's main priority after leaving Argentina behind.Through a quest of experimenting and defying the boundaries of the metal genre, Svet Kant re-designs both harmony and rhythm while defining a unique and un-missable personal sound. Completing line-up with Daragh Kenny (drums), Liamroy (guitars) and Noface (bass), the band constantly amazes audiences with their powerful and crushing performances.
Playing main support are Belfast Death Metal purists RUPTURATION a four Piece Death Metal band, born out of a common lust to play music as heavy as it can be, drawing influences from titans such as Bloodbath and stretching to the vast brutality of Putrid Pile, Rupturation plays a brand of Death Metal that satisfies both the taste for speed, and lack thereof.
Also supporting on the night are Galways newest extreme metal band ORGAN BLENDER and metalcore miscreants PEASANT TO A KING.
